Prior to launching 2050 Wealth Partners, Rianka advised clients across generations in the areas of retirement planning, estate planning, education planning and strategic tax planning.

A strong advocate for young professionals, she served as 2016 National President of Financial Planning Association’s NexGen community, where she focused on the cultivation of the next generation of financial planners, currently sits on CNBC’s Financial Advisors Council, volunteered annually with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, and co-founded a mentorship program for women in financial planning at her alma mater, Virginia Tech. Rianka also volunteers for the CFP Board Center for Financial Planning to help build a more diverse financial planning profession, both as a member of the Center’s Diversity Advisory Group and as a spokesperson for the “I am a CFP
® Pro” campaign to encourage young people of all backgrounds to consider a career in financial planning. In 2018, Rianka launched 2050 TrailBlazers, a podcast aimed to directly address the lack of diversity in the financial planning profession by engaging industry experts and leaders in conversation to encourage cultural awareness, cultural perspective, and ways to make a measurable impact.

Through her leadership, contribution, and volunteerism within the financial service industry, Rianka has been recognized by Investment News as 2017 Women to Watch Rising Star and 2015 list of top “40 Under 40” financial services professionals, in Wealth Management and Financial Advisor Magazine’s 2016 list of top 10 CFP ® certification holders in the country and more recently Wealth Management “Ten to Watch in 2018”, a group comprised of ten innovators and influencers set to change the industry. Additionally, Rianka has been published twice in The Journal of Financial Planning where she shared her research around cultural and wealth patterns of the millennial generation.

My professional experience at wealth management firms gave me the opportunity to work with top-notch seasoned colleagues and great clients. During my time at various firms, I constantly had personal friends, acquaintances of my husband, and young professionals in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who were hitting their stride in their career reach out to me to ask, “can I become your client?” Too often my answer was unfortunately, no.

Most firms that offer comprehensive financial planning have investible asset minimums that my friends and acquaintances didn’t meet. They are then forced to go elsewhere for advice and are often ‘sold’ financial products that in many cases, might not be right for them.

I’ve created YGC to bring financial planning to my peers to set them on a new financial trajectory through an affordable monthly retainer. A firm that is dedicated to getting your financial household in order, and having intentional conversations around the impact you want to make in your personal and professional life. How can I help you discover Your Greatest Contribution?

On a personal note, when I am not “in the office” serving YGC clients or the community of NexGen financial planners, I am actively searching for the perfect puppy to join our home, finding new places to excite our taste buds, or researching our next international country to explore. I have been deemed the financial steward of our household and my husband the technology guru. When he is not helping me with my technology woes, he is working for Deloitte Consulting creating technical and analytical solutions for various clients. We are a house divided when it comes to sports teams, but will always remain #teamD.
