I'm Dick Vodra, an energy and planning consultant in McLean, VA. I retired from a 27-year career as a financial planner in 2012, during which I advised individuals and families on a wide range of personal and family concerns. I am an original member of the Nazrudin Project, and have been active with Naz throughout its history. I received a "Heart of Financial Planning" award from the national FPA in 2012, and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019 from the National Capital Area chapter of the FPA. I continue to write on financial planning issues, but my main interest is what I call Worldview Two - the need to change our thinking, planning, and living to deal with the realities of climate change and resource limitations. Additional information and reprints of articles can be found at WorldviewTwoPlanning.com.

Vodra Cast 2 climate change

I’m Dick Vodra, an energy and planning consultant in McLean, VA. I recently retired from a 27-year career as a financial planner during which I advised individuals and families on a wide range of personal and financial concerns, and was recognized as Planner of the Year for the National Capital Area chapter of the Financial Planning Association and recipient of the FPA’s national Heart of Financial Planning award. I became aware of peak oil about 10 years ago and soon saw its coming importance (along with climate change and other resource issues) to how we will live in the years to come. I currently serve on the board of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas ‑ USA.
